Anthony Peterson is a photographer based in New York City. While studying film in college, he developed a deep love for still images.
“What moves me are the real moments that happen organically within the larger scheme of things, and being aware enough to capture them. That’s why this image is such a favorite of mine — it only took one bird flying by for me to notice its shadow and the rest of the birds sitting on the roof. I knew then that whatever moved that one bird would eventually move them all. I just had to have some patience and wait.”
